GREY'S ANATOMY - "Push" - A patient who needs an extremely difficult surgery comes to Seattle Grace, and it's Richard and Owen who vie for the opportunity to tackle it. But the decision lies in the hands of Derek, who deems that Owen should take on the surgery, leaving Richard bitter. Meanwhile, Bailey deals with her own personal struggles when she nervously prepares for another date with Ben, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, MARCH 11 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/MICHAEL DESMOND)JAMES PICKENS, JR.

Things get personal when Richard and Owen vie for a complex surgery. Owen calls Richard's approach, "old school," and Richard retorts,  "I've been dissecting tumors since you were in diapers." Derek asks them both to present their cases and he'll decide. Cristina volunteers to help Richard, so she can spy on him to help Owen. Richard is onto her, though. He offers her surgeries if she'll be spy on Owen. Derek calls Richard's presentation "impressive," but chooses Owen. Richard is angry, saying, "He doesn't have a plan, he has an attitude." But when Owen's seat-of-the-pants approach gets him in trouble, Richard graciously jumps in to help out.

Miranda freaks out when Callie tells her that since Ben asked her over for dinner, he'll expect sex. "Third date's the sex date,' Callie tells her. "And he's cooking for you. At his home. Where he keeps his bed."

Yes! I think Teddy brings some of the same qualities Addison did - someone who's had some real, serious life experience - Mark would have to be a grownup for real. (Hey, bad boy Mark is loads of fun, but the character can't survive much more of that - he has to evolve.) Lexie, although much, much younger, did help him grow in a way and they were a good step for each other, but I had a problem with them because of the whole "teach me" thing. Also, I could really embrace Teddy as a character and Cristina's mentor if the writers would stop pushing the godawful, unpleasant "triangle".

Well I have to say I was a big fan of Lexie and Sloan...she changed him in a good way. But I like the new possiblity of Mark and Teddy! With her taken that could solidify the Yang and Hunt relationship that is the best Christina's ever been in.

Although she hasn't been as likeable as Adiison , she could possibly down the line be good for Mark. they're both pining for other people, and they can"unpine' by being together. Also keeps him from being an issue later on betwwen C/A. I know that won't stop the writters but, it's some reassurance. But overall, even though i never liked Mark and Lexie together they are a bettter match than Teddy and Mark could possibly be. They just both need a little growing up to do individually.

Hmm, not so sure. We need to see more of their interactions together. So far I can't feel their chemistry yet. For now I'm still MARK&LEXIE. They need a second chance. And actually i like to see TEDDY w/OWEN .... and CRISTINA w/JACKSON.

i think mark and teddy will be good together but i think it would be better if callie didnt like teddy it would be fun to watch. i think owen shouldnt be with christina. i think christina would be best with avery but im pretty sure that wont happen :/ lately the "happy, married marideth" is bugging me she used to be "dark and twisty" with christina and it was more fun now shes barely on the show anymore and shes not really the main part/best part if she is. im mean come on the show is named after her for a reason people!

I think the development of Mark and Teddy dating should continue to make Owen jealous; and Owen and Teddy should at least give it a shot; they seem to make a better pair! They have more onscreen chemistry! Yang and Avery would be an interesting development too. Lexie and Sloan.

Well, I see that not much people like Mark/Teddy relationship...but I found it fascinating! i love Teddy's character..and I think that if Mark is ever going to be with Lexie (although I would like to see things work with Teddy) Teddy will be a good person to make Mark really grow and mature. For me, the Mark/Teddy story made me wanna keep watching the show....btw...

I do NOT want to see Sloan with Teddy. We need Slexie to get back together. One of the best love moments in the episode was when Lexie was in the bathroom crying over Mark. Let Teddy stay single and get Karev out of the picture already!

Okay... Not surprised!!! But I am thinking that its very funny that you are all taking the bait!!! Come on!!!!!- Shonda knows better!!! This IS the cute litte Akward way that SLEXIE comes back to life!!! While its nice to see Christina Happy, Teddy isn't really comming across as the "Cardio God" Christina needs! Teddy wont last long! She and Owen will eventually get the Timing Right, and run away together, or it would be nice if Teddy left all on her own, because Owen just fits, Lets say he's McRough! ( or lets hear some more Ideas...) Anyway, Callie wants kids, Come on Arizona, Seriously!!! Lets Talk about what is REALLY exciting!!! MIRANDA, Its about time she gets a litte focus from some McChocolate!!!

I would much rather see Mark with Callie. I think Teddy is more suited for Owen. I liked Owen and Christina and still do but now I'm thinking that he would be more with her. The beautiful one can go with Lexie or Christina. I am now torn between Owen and Christina, (which is still # 1), and Owen and Teddy. I kinda like their chemistry.

Seriously? Is Grey's trying to lose viewers? I'm still pretty pissed off about what the writers did to Lexie and Mark. I'm hoping they can redeem themselves by writing them back together in a cute, funny, and awkward way. Their reunion could provide weeks of entertaining Lexie awkwardness, and Mark trying to be the macho tough guy. Mark needs young, his mother figure (Mrs. Shepard) even told him so last season. Lexie needs Mark, he gives her confidence and security. The writers won so many viewers over with how they wrote Mark and Lexie last season. Don't ruin this relationship, and don't forget about it. A whole heck of a lot of viewers are still carrying the Mark/Lexie (Slexie) torch. As for Teddy, she's a mediocre character who in no way belongs with Mark. I honestly don't even think she belongs on the show. I get it that we need a cardio God, but honestly I don't think enough people are feeling Teddy and those that are, are probably more interested in the storyline between her Owen and Cristina, than with Mark Sloan. Don't ruin this show even more by throwing these two characters together. Phew...I've never posted here but after watching thursday's show I had to get that off my chest.

I totally agree, and seriously I'm just like you I have never posted anything but after watching that episode I just got so mad! I would also like to say I'm a little confused by teddy even being there she doesn't seem to make sense or fit in and maybe that's what they're trying to do here, but it isn't working...instead it's just making all of us really mad!

well said NCGHfan1983! My thoughts EXACTLY and I couldn't have said it more elloquently. Great job. I would like to see Mark and Lexie back together, less focus on the relationship drama and more on patients and remarkable cases that a doctor may see in a emergency room setting. I remember the days that I used to be "torn up" over patients and their story lines. Sure the relationships can be a plus, but not the focus of the show! Please get back to great writing.

NO!! Mark and Teddy would not make a good couple. And, WHAT have the writter DONE to poor Mark? I miss McSteamy. And, I miss him being with little grey. That was alot more fun. Don't make him sensitive and don't make her cry!! PS - I do like Teddy much much better than the other "cardio gods" especially the other blonde with the mean face. Teddy and Owen should get together and Christina should get with Avery's older brother.

I also think that Lexie and Jackson would be cute together. Give Alex some time to move on and then find him someone that isnt part of his past w/ Izzie. As far as Mark and Teddy.....we will have to see. I find him smokin and I dont find her attractive. I would like to see him and Callie as friends maybe having a baby together but I wouldnt like the whole her being one way then another then back. Maybe it will help her get over her future arizona heartbreak as they seem to be getting ready to throw some limbs in their way right now.

Mark and teddy would be a wired couple and i am a huge fan of Mark and Lexie together but honestly Lexie is young and i am wondering how far their couple could go ? Mark is at a stage of his life where he needs to get married and make a family but Lexie is not there yet , that's the problem !

GA has been a tough pill to swallow. I didn't get this show. I didn't understand how it could have great medical drama in one segment and then jump to sex in the closet the next. It's like flipping through a magazine for the pictures but never reading the articles. Ironically the most committed relationship so far has been Callie and Sloan. GA relationships have been calamities not one committed couple has made it. Grey and Shepherd are married by a post it (are you kidding me with this) after six years. Don't you think they deserve a wedding. Those who wish for Mark and Lexie back are probably the same people who believe that Grey and Shepherd's post it wedding is cute and having sex in closet during rounds is sexy. Dr. sloan is feeling the biological clock which most men do around their forties and women around thirties. The reason him and Teddy have no chemistry is because they have barely talked to each other. She's cardio and he's plastics. GA is on track in developing something here. I know god forbid we get a nice boring committed relationship from two grown adults looking for love and family after looking in the wrong place for a long time. This story line might actually bring back those who like to read a magazine for the articles and the pictures.

Mark and Lexie belong together. They both need to get over their pride and themselves and love one another again. So please no to Mark and Teddy, and yes to Mark and Lexie.

If rumors are true and Grey's will be losing further cast a big name could serve two purposes. Bringing in the new character prior to the departure(s) allows the audience to get to know the character. There's also potential to attract fans of the actor to Grey's, potentially picking up some new viewers. In order for it to be successful it needs to be the right actor to fit in with the cast and the writing and storyline have to be there to mesh the character into the existing canvas. Its a given that most hour long dramas will add to the cast as the seasons go along, some will succeed and some will not. Its not an absolute.

Honestly, I dont see the point in Teddy at all. I don't like her, or her character. And i think that Jackson and Christina would be a horrible couple.Instead of Mark and Lexie I think that lexie and Jackson should be together. And i want Izzie to come back and be with Alex. But i heard a rumor that She isn't coming back at all.
