After her risky surgery, Derek gives Izzie the good news. The tumor is out. Whew! Looks like we’ll get to see Izzie and Alex take that honeymoon after all. But then Izzie asks how the surgery went. A few minutes later, she asks again. Alex freaks out. But Derek explains it could be a temporary post-op condition. He wants Alex to be patient. Easier said than done.

George drops a bomb when he tells Bailey he joined the Army. Her reaction’s a lot like ours—Oh, Hell no! She and Callie team to stage an intervention. They recruit Meredith, Cristina and even Alex to help. Arizona thinks George’s decision to enlist is “awesome.” Callie boils over at this. She feels like a jerk when Arizona reveals that her brother died in Iraq because there weren’t enough medics there to save him. Maybe our George is doing the right thing.

I have fell madly in love with this show! I just saw this episode the other day for the first time and truthfully I cried so much. I had a feeling Izzie was going to go, but George! :( When he put 007 on Merediths hand I screamed out "It's George!" Before she did on the show. When Izzie went up on the elevator I thought she would be with Danny again, but when I saw George, I just lost it.

Grey's anatomy is the best show ever!! even thoug I see the chapter several times I dont get bored!!! I love it... its the best. the most chockig scene for me was when o'Malley dies... wtf?? and it has sad because his character was essential and remind us to be good person.... I dont konow, but he looked sexy in his uniform jeje

I was pissed. 1st off George is my favorite person. So its nice to know that he's being killed off. Just great! Then Burke was awesome but because people can't resolve things he's gone. It's only time till everyone disappears. I hope the director can somehow make this next season worth it cause this was my favorite show and she's been destroying it. But on a good note I like the izzie wedding and the Grey/ Shepard wedding.

I am disappointed with the addition of new characters and the merger... I liked the show the way it is because we can get to know the characters. they feel like family not the way they are planning on bringing on new people. i am disappointed and dont know if i will continue to watch

I do believe that the way they let us believe George is dead is far fetched. They did no DNA or blood test to make sure it was George. We are to believe because of the 007 that it is George, or because of freckles on his hand. I think we could have been a little more convincing that it is George.

I just joined. Hopefully they will bring George back. I'm afraid with all "the NEW improvements of the show" they are ruining the "BEST SHOW EVER!!!!. GO Back to the basics of the show, the original main characters!!!

Season 2 Finale was the best Grey's finale. Actually it was the best finale i've ever seen. I still remember how i felt, and how i bawled my eyes out seeing Izzie in the elevator. I kind of feel like it all went downhill after that but that finale takes the cake.

The shooting at a local restaurant fill the ER. Then the shooter came to the hospital, to get the main target : the young manager - jerk. - The shooer aka Peteie also shoot Dr.Burke. While Izzie cuting Denny Duquettea`s cord. Plus, all the interms are involve.

Is this want I spended all summer to see? What`s going on? You need to develop a site where the viewers can write the way, they think the show should go. Cause the writing team need help. The only 2 parts , I enjoy was Callie`s scences. And if it George on the table. Now leave Lexie always said that it was George on the table. Then after a time bring him back. That he real did go to tha Army and never contacted anyone. Just like McArmy. And bring back Burke and Shepard`s team.

I hated the scene, I think it was totally inappropriate, especially for ppl who claim to be George's best friends. Also, George's departure from the show could have been a lot more sentimental. Hated it!!!!!!!

George....George...George...is that all everyone thinks about??? Well if everyone kept up to date on what has been going on then they would know what has been going on with T. R. Knight. He has been planning on leaving to do theater for a while since things weren't going "his" way. Besides the show is doing well. Shonda Rhimes does an excellent job writing and always has a great cliff hanger at the season finale to keep us aching for the next season to start. Season 5 has been the best by far though. She did an excellent job at writing off T.R. Knight. There are no doors for him to come back in. Just as with Burke, he is gone and won't be back. She moves the show forward as it should. Cudos to her for an excellent job...Keep up the good work.

I love Cristina, for me all her scenes are incredible moments. I know some people don't get her and think she is cold. But they couldn't be more wrong. During all these years she has been there for her friends and I like her honesty. I think her dark humor is the way she handles grief. Many characters shouted at each other and they didn't think that was sick? Dark humor is the way she "shouts" her grief to world. Also, I liked the scene with Owen and George's mother, very emotive. I prefer this kind of scenes to those with characters crying too much and shouting... This subtle beautiful scene made me feel more than all those others. Like the scene when Cristina fully realizes George has died. Without saying much, without a loud voice... it made me feel more than those other too dramatic scenes.

What has happened to this show? It used to be good. Clever and fun. Now it's heavily laden, nay, dripping with emotional revelations. Please try to remember why the show was so well-received in the first place. Remember how The West Wing started out really good, and then became "just another drama?" Most of its viewers in later seasons were simply holding on to find out what happened. There was little joy in watching...simply curiosity. Don't become that. You used to be good. Y'all are taking yourselves too seriously. If you don't believe me, watch the ratings this season. Oymigahd.

I think last night episode after a summer of anticipation was the biggest let down in the history of Grey's Anatomy. We all knew George was going to die but after his character enduring the ups and downs of the last five years and being such an important character to Izzie, Meredith, Christine, and Callie I thought it was just disgusting how quickly his death had come and disappear. I mean even when Meredith was lying on a stretcher after she drown her friends were there almost every second, praying, crying, hoping that she would be save; the hospital stop for Meredith. But with George it was like okay he's dead now back to work. I saw more distress from the interns who had no lines then I did from the main characters (with the exception of Callie) I can't help but think that you really did have a problem with T.R. Knight and you just wanted this story line to quickly be swept under the rug. I have been an AVID fan science the first episode and now I find myself wondering if I should even bother watching this season. Shondra get off your high horse, because if you don't this ship is going to slowly sink and your going down with it!

Each season finale is better then the last- "Hi I’m Addison shepherd... and you must be the woman whose been sleeping with my husband", Denny dies, izzy quits, McDreamy or McVet, a house built out of candles! I mean really the writing is so good but my heart broke for Meredith when she realized that 0-0-7 was George, I knew that something was going to happen to him because every one talked even though I had to wait for the DVD to watch this season I keep waiting for the hole George is leaving thing. But still knowing that something was suppose to happen to him (call me naive) I did not thing that he was john doe. . . it took my breath away and put a tear in my eye! B/C if George just went to the army then maybe Mr. Knight (who I love) would decide he loved the fans enough to come back, but to be this john doe means good bye to the sweet, strong, and handsome George that I felt never got his real time to shine as the doctor I knew he was...and ps what was with that girl looking for a hotter guy I think TR is hot!

I think Denny dying of a stroke (which is a clot in the brain) was the most unbeliveable finale of all. I work in a hospital and after MAJOR heart surgury a pt. is on so many blood thinners to prevent clots that there is practicaly now chance a person could die of a stroke. That ending was totally shocking. But I have to agree with hillpaige12 My favorite show was the one where the bomb was in the pt. chest cavity because I did not expect the bomb dude to blow up. :o that was crazy.
