THE MIDDLE - "The Front Door" - Frankie is caught in the middle when Axl accidentally breaks down the front door, and Mike insists that he fix it - which could leave the Heck house wide open for days. Meanwhile, Frankie must sell a car within a week or be forced to wear a dog suit outside the lot, and it's school picture time for Sue, who has never had a flattering photo taken of her, on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/ADAM LARKEY)NEIL FLYNN, PATRICIA HEATON

Frankie wants Mike to force their slacker son Axl to, well, stop being such a slacker. When Axl doesn’t fall in line, Mike says the boy needs to be punished. Axl storms out of the house slamming the front door behind him.

Thank goodness the Heck family living room doesn’t have hardwood floors. Otherwise, the sound of the front door falling completely off its hinges and crashing inward could have been a lot worse. Mike says the door will stay right where it is until Axl fixes it.

The problem with not having a front door is that Jehovah’s Witnesses can now walk right into your house. This is just one of the reasons Frankie desperately wants Mike to cave. Nevertheless, she supports him in his stubborn attempt to teach Axl a lesson as she rakes away the leaves that drift into the living room overnight. Hey, it gets pretty windy over there in Orson.

THE MIDDLE -

Crime and Punishment?

While Mike's plan to make Axl fix the front door doesn't work out, Frankie cooks up a pretty good alternative to teach her teenage son a lesson. Did the punishment fit the crime?

yup I'd say that the crime fit the punishment. Too funny!

I think this is the funniest show on the air right now. It's about real family issues and will remind you of your situations at home. The cast is incredible, each in their own part couldn't have been cast any better. I love Sue. She is so sweet and tries so hard, and has such a positive attitude even in the worst situations. Who else could be so positive with all that happens to her. I love them all. It is impossible to choose a favorite. Please let us keep this clean show for many many years.

please please see this show for what it is. it's a comedy for cryin' out loud. we need to laugh! don't take life so seriously. yeah, it may have touched on a touchy subject, but see it for what it is-a comedy! in this day and age of all the bad things we encounter, we need to laugh. thanks to ABC for bringing us a few comedies, and not some over dramatic cop show or hospital show. life is bad enough. i look so forward to getting away from the real world for an hour or so just to forget the outside world. stop complaining already.

Yes! Finally they made him do something about it! Frankie tries to do everything herself all the time! Pass the buck Frankie!!! The kids are old enough to help you out! LOL great show!

WOW, REALLY CATEMICK? First of all, I am a Foster Parent. This happens to be one of the funniest shows that my ENTIRE family laughs at. If you take primetime humor to heart, then turn your television to disney and/or turn it off.

Why can't we watch the "front door" episode anymore? I wanted my mom to see it so she could re-live my childhood! :-)

I'd like to know that also. That was my very favorite episode and they aren't running it like they do the others. I would love to tape it to keep.

Does anyone know what happened to the Full Episodes to the recent ones? Like "the front door"?? My favorite show, amazing!

I know it's a comedy, and if he had just fixed the door it wouldn't have been so funny...but in "real" life, my son would have fixed that door...period..lol.

My husband and I were laughing so hard when this episode aired because we had JUST had a go-round with OUR teenage son. I even had my son watch it and he couldn't stop laughing either. And the issue was the same for us: if we let him get away with this one, life will never be the same. They had to do something and they did. I loved it. This show is my never-miss show and I've lost track of how many people I've told about it. Now they all watch it too. This is the show everyone talks about at work and when we're dropping kids off at school. PLEASE keep it going! Love the cast. Perfect. And how cute is Brick?

I am so disappointed in this show. I was shocked that your writers think Foster Care and Foster Children is a humorous topic. How funny is it to be cared for by the state because your family cannot provide acceptable care for you for a number of reasons for example: abuse and neglect, no money, abandonment. Where is the humor in parents hoping their children will fare better in Foster Care?? The reference to Foster Care in your show was shocking..passed off as sarcastic humor. Who thinks this is funny? Writers who have no clue what the Foster Care system is and what it represents in our society. It represents tragic cases filled with desparate children and from decimated families. Your show owes the audience an apology for the extreme ingnorance and insensitivity.

Get a life! I was in foster care for almost two years, and I find the promo funny. In my case, I welcomed foster care, because of issue I wont discuss here, but I don't see the problem in laughing about it. The middle is the best. It's unbelievable that Axel would actually get away with so many stuff, but is funny never the less. LONG LIVE THE MIDDLE. PLEASE DON'T LET US GO A WHOLE WITHOUT THIS SHOW AGAIN.

How's the view from your high horse? It's a C-O-M-E-D-Y show. The world has become WAY too PC and your comments are just ridiculous. Here a thought....don't watch the show! There..problem solved.

great show!!! I love it. I hate that you only offer a couple of the shows on the web and/or Hulu. We don't have cable, satellite, or ariel antenna, so this is the only way we can watch it and the only way you can advertise to us and the millions of us who watch it the same way.

Great punishment! I love how creative the parents are! MY WHOLE FAMILY ABSOLUTELY LOVES THIS SHOW!!! My whole family will sit together to watch this gem!! Thanks ABC!

I totally think the punishment fits the crime. With teenagers you have to think out of the box...when I was 13 I was disrespectful one to many times to my mother, and she made me wear the same purple sweater every day, and I had to EARN the rest of my clothes back day by day with a respectful attitude.

The Middle is oneof the best shows on TV. I've told others about the show, that don't like any network shows, and now they are hooked! Not only does it deal with "Real Life", it's a great comedy sitcom, with NO LAUGH TRACK! Family shows are so few and far between, anymore, thank you for adding this to your line-up...IT'S GREAT! Anyone with kids, especially teenagers, can relate to every episode! The punishment was PERFECT! I know a lot of parents that smiled after watching this episode!

I agree that it's one of the best family shows available. Except the Brooke Shields episode. I know there are people that answer the door like that but they don't need to put that into a show that the entire family is likely to be watching. It's just over the top and unnecessary as proved by the past episodes that all could watch.

you must save the middle!!! I love this show I wish it were on 5 days a week! please give it another season. I laugh at loud at the situations. everyone is funny especially the little boy and the daughter ah heck , the mother father and older son are funny too! let s not forget the people at the used car lot. It is so rare to find a comedy that is actually funny these days. please give the fans a break for a change.

Yes. I think it is great the Mike and Frankie work together as much as possible with the kids and make them be responsible. And it is funny at the same time. Great writing on this show. But I do have some suggestions.

As a mom and grandmother, I think this show is right on about kids today and Patricia Heaton is a hoot! My favorite character on the show is the youngest son who whispers part of what he says. I can really relate to the mom though, big time! Keep up the good work here and please keep it clean or I will quit watching it, thanks!

I agree, keep it clean. I was a fanatic for Two and Half Men at the beginning, but it got so vulgar, I don't watch at all anymore. The Middle is the answer for the family. I am worried already that they will change it for the ones who like vulgar.

want some more?
